Dermaplane
Dermaplaning is a procedure that exfoliates your skin and gets rid of dirt and vellus hair, better known as “peach fuzz.” Dermaplaning leaves you with slightly brighter, smoother skin by scraping off the top layer of dead skin cells, vellus hair, and excess oils with a scalpel. The deep exfoliation treatment can remove up to two weeks of dead skin, and the results last about three weeks
Dermaplaning is a procedure in which the skin is manually exfoliated to remove dead skin build-up and fine hairs. Dermaplaning uses a sharp No. 10 surgical held at a 45-degree angle to gently scrape the outer layer of the skin which consists of dull, dead skin cells. At the appointment, our practitioner will gently pull your skin tightly and lightly while gliding the blade in an upward motion using delicate, feathering strokes to remove the top layers of dead skin and vellus hair, the procedure is painless and requires very little downtime.
Because there is no hair to trap dirt, oil, and other debris clinging to your face, your skin will be cleaner after a dermaplaning facial which, again, helps prevent future breakouts and allows other products to penetrate more deeply into the skin. It can soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and ease hyperpigmentation, or uneven skin tone. It’s also used to treat deep acne scars.
